Independence Day Crafts
Feeling stuck? These photos, videos and tips will help you with the crafts in your Independence Day Craft Kit.
Fireworks Salt Painting
To get the most out of this project, don't worry about the mess, or about the results of your work. This is all about the process! Get sticky and salty while creating a piece of art that's uniquely your own. Watch the video below to see our process.
TIP: If you overlap lines of glue, the wet watercolors will run together, which looks really cool.
Star Spangled Bubble Wands
QUESTIONS FOR LEARNING: How many beads do you have? How many more (or fewer) red beads do you have than blue? What do you get when you add the blue and white beads together? What patterns can you make? Can you count by twos? What about fives?
Patriotic Parade Hat
Use two tape dots on each end of the blue paper to form the base of your hat. After you add the foam stars, glue on some of the star confetti pieces to make your hat even more festive!
Red, White & Glue Garland
Some crafts are just easier to show than tell. Watch the video below to see us in action! And don't be afraid to email us with any questions.
This activity is too tricky for younger kids to do alone. They'll love helping you cut the strips, thread the tissue poms, glue on the stars, and choose a place to hang the finished banner. This is #togetherart at its finest.
How will you make your Independence Day creations uniquely yours? We'd love to see! Please show us by tagging your pictures with @meghanscraftkits or #meghanscraftkits. Happy crafting!
