Wormy Apple Pencil Topper

IMG_5432.jpg

YOU’LL NEED:

  • red cardstock

  • green pipe cleaner

  • 2 googly eyes

  • green tissue paper

  • pencil, scissors

  • Elmer’s white glue

HOW TO MAKE IT:

  1. Roll one end of your pipe cleaner into a tight spiral (this will be the worm’s face). Leave the rest unrolled.

  2. Glue the googly eyes on the spiral.

  3. On a red piece of cardstock, draw out two apples. Cut them out. Punch two holes in the middle of one red apple, and cut two slits through the middle of the second.

  4. Push the straight end of the pipe cleaner though one hole of the apple, then back out the other hole, as shown in the photo.

  5. Bend the straight end of the pipe cleaner to look like a wiggly worm. Cut any excess length.

  6. Glue the two paper apples together, just along the edges.

  7. Twist the green tissue paper to create the look of a leaf. Glue it just

under the stem of the apple. Set aside to dry.

  8. Once your apple topper is dry, push the eraser end of your pencil through the tab in the back.
