Red Delicious Stamp Art

IMG_5485.jpg

This year, instead of an apple, how cute would it be to give your new teacher apple-stamp artwork? A lunchbox-size apple, a couple globs of paint, and a piece of paper or canvas are all ya need to make this sweet gift with the kids. Unlike a real apple, it’ll never go rotten.

YOU’LL NEED:

  • red and green tempera or acrylic paint

  • canvas or paper

  • paint brush

  • small apple

  • towel

HOW TO MAKE IT:

  1. Cut the apple in two, and wipe the insides with a towel to absorb some of the juice.

  2. Paint the inside of one apple-half red, then press it firmly to your canvas or paper. Add a new coat of paint before pressing the apple to your canvas again.

  3. Paint the inside of the second apple-half green. Stamp it on your canvas using the same technique.
