IMG_4011.JPG

Halloween is right around the corner, and it’s time to start crafting! These little clothespin monsters are so cute and simple to make. Make one for a cute monster friend, or make a whole army of clothespin monsters using every color of the rainbow!

YOU’LL NEED:

  • clothespins

  • paint

  • yarn

  • small elastic bands

  • scissors

  • pipe cleaners, cut in half

  • pony beads

  • googly eyes

  • glue

HOW TO MAKE THEM:

  1. Paint a clothespin.

  2. As you wait for it to dry, wrap your yarn around a few fingers about 10 times.

  3. Remove yarn from fingers and secure the center with a small elastic band.

  4. Cut through all loops of yarn to create a small pom-pom ball. Trim the yarn ball to make a cute hairstyle for your monster!

  5. String the pipe cleaner through the smallest hole on the clothespin. Wrap the pipe cleaner around the back, then bend it around the front to create arms.

  6. String a pony bead through each side of the pipe cleaner. Bend the pipe cleaner down and twist to secure.

  7. Glue on your monster’s crazy hair and eyeball.

  8. Give your new little monster friend a name!

  9. Repeat steps 1-8 to make more.
