Apple Tree Number Match
My 3-year-old has SUCH a good time practicing counting, colors and number recognition this way! When I play with my second-grader, we put apples on the divisors of the numbers rolled for a challenging twist.
HERE’S HOW YOU PLAY:
Sketch a quick tree containing 10 red circles and 10 green circles.
Give one player 10 red “apples” (pom-poms, buttons and stickers work well!), and give a second player 10 green apples.
Let players take turns rolling a die and placing their items on the numbers rolled, in the circles that match the color of their apples.
The first player to get all of his or her apples on the tree wins!
