Daddy Award Ribbon

  • Blue construction paper

  • Yellow construction paper circle

  • glue stick

  • scissors

  • string

  1. Cut a piece of blue construction paper in half, hot-dog style.

  2. Fold 1 blue half-sheet like an accordion, starting with a short edge.

  3. With the “accordion” closed, fold it in half. Then glue the inside edges together. (The paper should now look like a fan, in a half-circle.) Repeat with the second blue half-sheet.

  4. Glue the two fans together to make a complete circle. This is your rosette. (If necessary, add a little glue to the center folds so the “accordion” doesn’t open.)

  5. Write the name of the award on the yellow circle (we went with “#1 Daddy”). Glue it to the center of the rosette.

  6. Cut two blue paper strips for the ribbons. Cut triangles out of the ends. Glue them to the back of the rosette.

  7. With a sharp object or hole-punch, poke a hole through the top of the rosette. Thread with string so Dad can wear it around his neck!
