Hatch a Fluffy Chick
What’s your favorite thing about spring? Mine is waking up to the sound of birds chirping! And when no birds are chirping, it’s making bird crafts like this. Tissue paper, construction paper, googly eyes and glue are all ya need for this fluffy chick!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Yellow tissue paper, cut into 2” squares
Yellow construction paper
Orange construction paper strips
Yellow tissue paper
HOW TO MAKE IT
Cut out a large oval from a piece of yellow construction paper. This will be your chick's body.
Trace your hands on another sheet of yellow construction paper and cut them out. Glue them to the sides of the oval shape. These will be your chick's wings.
Fold 2 orange paper strips like an accordion. Glue them to the bottom of the oval shape. These will be your chick's legs.
Turn your chick over and glue on the eyes. Cut a beak from a large piece of orange construction paper, and glue it on.
Now add "feathers"! Lightly crumple the tissue paper squares and glue them to your chick until he's completely covered and fluffy.
Optional: Add a piece of string or ribbon and hang your chick in the trees like we did.
