I love these Easter bookmarks because they serve double-duty as puppets for pretend play, and they’re a cinch to make! Stick them in your favorite Easter books, give them to your kids to use in their chapter books, or hand them out to your children’s classmates and teachers. You could even put them in the kids’ Easter baskets. (Can you believe Easter is in just two weeks? 2019 is flying!)

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • Jumbo popsicle sticks

  • Pipe cleaners

  • Mini pom-poms

  • Googly eyes

  • Hot glue

  • Mini buttons (optional)

  • Washi tape (optional)

HOW TO MAKE THEM

  1. Cut a pipe cleaner in half. Twist one piece into an oval shape to create the look of a bunny ear. Repeat with the second pipe-cleaner half.

  2. Hot-glue the “ears” to the back of a popsicle stick.

  3. Turn the popsicle stick over and glue on the eyes and pom-pom nose, then add any embellishments such as buttons or washi tape.

  4. Repeat steps 1-3 to make more Bookmark Bunnies!
