Accounting firms team up for day of service

Portland, Oregon: Volunteers from Merina & Company LLP and CS Bray Accounting LLC of West Linn and PlanB Assurance Services LLP of Lake Oswego spent much of Sept. 21 pitching in to support the community as part of the third-annual CPA Day of Service.

More than two dozen volunteers from the three businesses put together 250 craft kits for Portland-based Craft + Boogie, which will donate one kit to an Oregon foster family for each kit sold.

Faciliated by the Oregon Society of CPAs, the statewide CPA Day of Service is designed to be an opportunity for CPAs to serve their communities and spread awareness about the CPA profession. A total of 150 volunteers representing 13 firms, businesses and organizations participated in the statewide event.
